Touch Event - Order of Operation

I have a touch event in Zone 1 that hides Zone 7 (by sending the zone message "HideVolume" to Zone 7 telling it to switch that zones graphic to a blank PNG)  and changes Zone 1 to a different state. See enclosed image.

The problem is that the Advanced command to HideVolume happens after the change of state in Zone 1. So Zone 7 is still visible for about a half second over the new Zone 1 state. I would prefer Zone 7 to hide before the change of state. Possible?

Could you please create a simple presentation with these 2 zones and 2 states (per zone) to demonstrate the problem, export the project and send it to us. Thanks.

Here is a link to the actual project, minus several of the video clips. The issue is the Volume Control zone when leaving the control panel section.

Attached is a sample project I used for test. I replaced the zone message command in zone 1 (first touch event) with the link zones command, and made the corresponding change in zone 7 (zone message event is replaced by the link zones event). This works for me. The volume slider disappears before the change of the state in zone 1. My XD device is running 4.4.75 firmware. Please test the project on your player.

Thanks. I have not tried this on a device yet, but I will later tonight.

So am I misusing the Zone Message command throughout? Should I be using Link Zone commands instead? Do I set them up in the same way? I am a little confused about the difference between the two.

Your project is very complicated. I wouldn't start changing all "zone messages" to "link zones" immediately. First, test the presentation (attached above) on your unit. If it works as expected, then replace one of the zone messages in your original presentation with the link zone command/event. Please be careful. Link zone and zone messages is basically the same feature that is used to coordinate/synchronize playback between the zones in a presentation. I didn't test how quick the transition is in multi-zone presentation, where the number of zones is bigger than 2. In this particular 2-zone project "link zone" works better than "zone message".

Thanks. No worries, I will proceed with caution.
