HD120 and button activation

I am new to this; I have an HD120 and want to run an interactive video that is activated by the push of a button.  I have a button with three wires; a black, red, and white.  I have a control cable with three wires (red, black, orange) that I can solder on to a GPIO interface.  The content I want is to run a screensaver when idle, the push of a button to run an MPEG4 vid with audio, and the screensaver to kick back in when video is over (once the video starts it doesn't need to be paused or stopped).  I'm not sure how to make this happen.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  You add 2 video files to interactive playlist in BrightAuthor, connect a first (screensaver) video with second one using the GPIO event. Connect second video with first one using the Media End event.
