We have three XD1230 units and use local networking to update the content. For testing purposes, I have a file that runs a serial command that turns on the display and displays a .jpg logo. Two of the units work fine, but if I publish the presentation to the unit in question (the only presentation on the unit), the display turns on at the proper time, but gives an error to the effect of "no connection" or something like that. At that point if I unplug the XD1230 and reboot it, the logo displays properly. I have another file that runs a serial command to turn off the display. If I publish the presentation to start again I must reboot the unit again for it to work. I believe my firmware version is 4.6.46. Do I have a hardware problem or is there something else I should try?

Lyndon I've never heard of an issue like this. If you publish to the unit without the on/off command, does the screen react as if there's been some loss of signal or other video related change? Is the unit still accessible after the display thinks it's unavailable? Can you still publish to it? At any point, is the unit unreachable?

Nik Albert I had that same problem when I first setup my power off/on files. I had to add a "disable monitor power save mode" command to the monitor as well to get the presentation to start after power up. No it works like a champ. That should get you fixed up.
