Live webpages on XD players

Hi,

I understand that the XD range of players can display HTML5 webpages.  My question is, do they appear static on the display screen, or if there are moving aspects on the webpage, then they will also be moving on the screen?

For example, I have created a webpage for display which includes a small animation of text.   Will that animation be displayed correctly via the player as it appears on a computer web-browser?

I don't currently have an XD player to test it on.

    Hi,

    Yes, XD units should display animation like your web browser does. Please check out HTML5 Best Practices to get suitable performance.

    The brightsign browser is based on webkit.

    Note, our players have less memory than a computer, so they don't handle large canvasses that use a lot of offscreen memory as well as a computer. Sometimes results can be unpredictable. We recommend thoroughly testing a web page on the unit before using a unit in a production environment.

    Great, thanks very much.  I will look to purchase an XD test player.
