BrightSign Session or Cookie Support for HTML

Is there a way, through BrightScript or passing through a URL to authenticate through an existing HTML/Javascript login form and have the BrightSign device be able to store the resultant cookie or session information locally so that it's a one time login?   This will be for an XD unit accessing a secure private intranet without any external access.  Content is delivered via unique user logins.

Thanks!
Monica

Our developer team indicates that cookies are supported. Have you tried this and had it fail? If it hasn't worked for you, can you provide more detail on your actual application so we can help troubleshoot?

Cookies don't seem to survive a reboot when loading an HTML5 page directly from the root (index.html). How can we persist data to the browser storage or file system from Javascript without wrapping everything in an HTML widget?
