Need Help with the Basics

I'm new to BrightSign and I'm working my way through it but i'm stuck on some of the basic features.  I have a XD1230.  I setup a display with 5 zones.  

1) video - works

2) clock - displays 88:88

3) date - blank

4) images - works

5) ticker - blank

How do i get it to recognize the correct time? How do i get the date to display and how do I get an RSS news feed to appear in the ticker

  If the BrightSign unit doesn't have Internet access, it will fail to connect to timeserver to setup the time, and it will fail to download the RSS feeds. Make sure your unit has the access to Internet.

  Fixed 

  Wired connection was never setup.  All good now
