Feature Request: Change Player-Type

Hi,

please invent an option to change the player-type at any time in an project/presentation.

Its really annoying when a cool project for a XD-Player couldn't be used on a new 4K player

etc... so, please invent a method to change the player device after a presentation was created.

    Hi Martin,

    After a presentation is created, you can open a presentation file in notepad, and change the BrightSign model there.

    Please note, today the only BrightAuthor version that supports the 4K units (BrightAuthor 4.0.0.8) does not support any other players. This will change in the near future. Eventually BrightAuthor will support all current players.

    So does that mean if we want to create presentations for 4K, XD and HD players we will need 2 PCs, one running BA 4.0.0.8 for the 4K players and the other running BA 3.7 or 3.8 for the XD and HD players?

    When, in the near future, do you intend to support all models of players with one version of BA?

    You can install 2 and more BrightAuthor versions on 1 PC. Please read this FAQ:

    An updated 4.0 that supports 4k, as well as HD and XD is expected within the next month. That's the XD, 4k, and HD--20 series. The older HD--10 series will not be supported by 4.x brightauthor.
