Video streaming playback on XD1230

I have an XD1230 and i'm trying to get a streaming news channel to display as a test.  I've tried using "HTML5" as well as adding the link to "Video Stream" and neither of them can play it back on the monitor.  When I embed the iframe in an html5 page it says the browser is not supported. and using video stream it says video cannot be previewed so i'm guessing it's not the write codec that is supported by BrightSign.

With local news stations using Flashed based service like Livestream and Ustream, how are you guys getting a video news service on your signage?

    Hi Brian,

Do you want to play a video stream on the XD1230 over network? If so, refer to this faq:

    http://support.brightsign.biz/entries/22262919-What-video-streaming-protocols-are-supported-by-BrightSign-players-

We recommend to publish and test a presentation on the XD1230 rather than preview it in BrightAuthor.

Yeah I'm trying to publish a link to a website that is playing a live news stream.  I was trying to use this one http://new.livestream.com/wtxf/live  but this is flashed based which is why it wasn't showing up.  I was publishing to the monitor for testing.

Is there any place recommended to get a news source that streams in h.264 or should i just get a cable box put in and run a coaxle line to the XD box?
