Hello there,
I received my v-hd222/dmx unit on Monday, got it set up, dropped the files into the GilderHD SD card as the instructions said I should. Created folders Playlist001-Playlist012. I dropped one video file into each.
I then jacked in the DMX from the digital board I use and the connection was good - the 'heart' LED was flashing quickly. After setting the DMX address on the v-hd222/dmx unit, I proceeded to run through 1-255 on my board and the red binary value LED's were all lighting up correlating to the correct binary value as the decimal value set I had set.
I'm using a single channel, but I encounter the same problem when using the 8 channel mode when engaging dip two. I've set dip one to 1-512 (not 0-511).
When selecting a program on the DMX board, it sometimes plays the correct file, sometimes it plays nothing at all, sometimes it plays the incorrect file. I thought it may have been bad encoding on the video, so I put them all through Sony Vegas 12 and re-rendered them on a number of different formats. Pop the SD card back into the v-hd222/dmx but I still have the same issues. Sometimes it plays, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes it plays the wrong file.
When I select a value of 255 the video stops every time as it should.
Could this be a firmware problem on the unit or do I need to adapt the Gilderscript in the AUTORUN.brs file in any way?
I'd be really grateful for your help as this isn't working as straight forward as the PDF manual says it should.
Regards,
Daniel Edwards
