Is it possible to use a USB serial converter using the FTDI chipset with say a HD1022, or does it need to be a Prolific chipset? Are there a specific subset of chipsets that have known support with the Brightsign units.
I have a case where I may need more than one serial port.
I know it shouldn't be a problem, but worth checking..Will running a USB serial converter and a touchscreen through a USB hub work?
Obviously it would be better to use a 2 port unit like the XD but the hardware is already purchased.
