Creating Signage Playlist with Multiple Video

Hi,

We are in Digital Signage business. We have several customers and we are broadcastign their video on to our signage screen. But most of the Video time is different the others. Because of this reason we should play different times in a specific loop period.

For example in 1 hour , A video file will be play 10 times, B video video file will be play 8 times, C video file will be play 5 times. We don't want to play A video 10 times continuesly, we want to play all A,B,C videos in a regular order.

I tried to use Media Count and Media End (set conditionals Targets ) to check how many times played video but it didn't work.

If anyone can help me I will be very glad.

    So you want to set how many times each video file should play within 1 hour time period?

    You could try using HTML video and some javascript to handle the number of plays?

    Make a HTML that covers the entire zone and then use javascript, HTML5 video and brightscript object to control the playing?

    Serdar,

    Here's a solution using variables. It may appear tedious at first look, but if you know how to work with variables, it will be easy for you to understand and setup your own presentation.

    I created sample presentation for LS422 device in BrightAuthor 4.3.0.3 and tested it with firmware version 6.0.9.

    In my example I use 3 videos: VideoA plays 10 times, VideoB 8 times and VideoC 5 times. All 3 videos loop until the amount of plays completes. Then playback switches to LiveText state.

    I created 1 variable, for each video (File > Presentation Properties > Variables). Default values are 0.

    Values of variables are incremented by 1 when videos start to play (double click on every video and click on Advanced tab in order to see the increment commands).

    At the end of the videos the conditions are checked (double click on Media End events, click on Advanced tab, press "Set Conditional Targets" button to see the conditions).

    Zones 2, 3 and 4 show number of video plays. These zones can be removed if necessary.

    Thanks for your reply. This is very good sample for me. But I have opened it in BA, and push the Preview button. Video A played continuesly, VideoB and VideoC never starts as attache picture.

    Some BrightAuthor features are not supported in preview. You should publish presentation to the real player.
