Display and Updating Images from Folder

Hi all,

I want to display a jpeg from a Dropbox Public folder but I dont want to use Bright Author. The image will be "auto refreshed" every 30 minutes to an hour and thats why I dont want to use BA.

Is there a way to do this? Point the BrightSign unit to that jpeg and every time it changes (same file name) it will be update and displayed?

    Hi Marcial,

A good approach would be to add a MRSS link as a Data Feed in your BrightAuthor presentation and use the batch file available from the below link (MRSS Generator) to generate the required XML file for the images located in a Dropbox subfolder.

I never tried it myself, but I think that there is a way to place a single html file on SD card, and its content would show on the screen upon startup.

If the html file autorefresh via meta tag, and has a link to the image on dropbox, this may just work...

With that said, I'm curious why Marcial is trying to avoid use of BA.
