Embedded Code-Timeline

I am working on a project for my organization and would like to incorporate an interactive timeline of our history. I’ve found a site (timeline.knightlab.com) that allows me to create a timeline using their spreadsheet template and then generate an embedded code for the actual timeline but I can’t seem to figure out how to make that translate to BrightAuthor. Any help or guidance would be appreciated. We are using an HD1022 player. I am new to BrightSign/Author so forgive me for the noob question.

What is the final goal? Do you want to play media files at specific times? Why don't you use scheduling in BrightAuthor? See chapter 8 in BrightAuthor User Guide.

You can also use Time/Clock event in interactive playlist to setup when a file or state should be played on the BrightSign.

Thanks for the reply. We are using a touchscreen so the final goal would be to make the timeline display on our presentation as it does when I generate it through the website and allow people to touch the arrows and move through it as they wish. I was hoping it would be as simple as using the embedded code that the website generates but that it might not be that easy. I will look into the interactive playlist option to see if that may work. I appreciate the help.

Create a new HTML document and put the code from the website in the new HTML document. Put the HTML document on a web server.  in your BrightAuthor presentation goto "presentation properties" then "HTML Sites" and add the URL to the web server that is hosting your HTML document.  in BrightAuthor choose "interactive" for the playlist type. Then drag the HTML5 icon into the playlist, select the options you want. After that you are ready to publish. This will point the BS player to your HTML document with the timeline.
