Change video and resolution with GPIO?

I am looking to do something which I don't know is possible.

I would like to have 4 videos (which loop), each video will be a different resolution (SD NTSC and PAL,1080i 50 and 60) and 4 buttons connected via the GPI.

I would like to have each button play (and loop) a specific video and change the output of the HDMI to the (specified?) resolution of that video file.

Is that possible?  I don't mind having the device reboot before changing resolution and playing the file.

    Hi John,

Yes, this is indeed possible. You just need to attached a "Switch Presentation" advanced command to the GPIO transition event where each presentation will be created with the required output resolution. The below FAQ describes how to use the "Switch Presentation" feature:

    Hi Romeo,
With this hint i'm able to switch from 4k 30 to 4K 60 but not to 1920@60...
Switching from 4k 30 to 4K 60 is quite fast..
When i switch to 1920@60 is slow seems that brightsign reboot to change resolution.
But when it reboot seems that load again the main presentation that is 4k@60.
    Any suggestions?

Any change to output resolution (but not refresh rate, interlacing, or color subsampling) requires the player to reboot.
After the reboot, the player will go back to the presentation that is scheduled for that time.  If your previous presentation had used Switch Presentation to go to a different presentation, it would revert back.
