IR Remote Control of XD1032/XD1132 using IR 3.5mm jack

I have an XD1032 running a presentation that responds to IR inputs from a SoundBridge remote.  This works great with the Iguanaworks Dongle.  But how do I make the same thing work with the 3.5mm IR jack on the player?  If I remove the Iguanaworks USB IR Dongle, the player will not respond to IR from anything I connect to the 3.5mm IR jack.

Thanks,

    Hi Allen,

I do not have that specific IR remote in hand.  First, you'll need the attached presentation and plugin in order to find out the IR code generated by each key press (each code will be displayed on screen). Once you have that info please post the code list here and I'll map the relevant code to each key in a different plugin.

Here are the IR codes from the Roku SondBridge remote.

    "WEST"
    "EAST"
    "NORTH"
    "SOUTH"
    "SEL"
    "EXIT"
    "PWR"
    "MENU"
    "SEARCH"
    "PLAY"
    "FF"
    "RW"
    "PAUSE"
    "ADD"
    "SHUFFLE"
    "REPEAT"
    "VOLUP"
    "VOLDWN"
    "BRIGHT"

You have to plug in the 3.5mm IR receiver and then power-up the player. It is not "plug and play".

Yep, I have all of that working in my presentation using the Iguanaworks dongle and an attached IR receiver.  But using the 3.5mm IR port and the same IR receiver from the Iguanaworks dongle doesn't work.  So something more needs to happen for the IR port to work.

Please note that the Iguanaworks IR receiver DOES NOT work when connected directly to the IR Jack connector on  the Brightsign.

I would suggest getting the below IR receiver instead if you want to plug a receiver directly onto the player:

    @Lance Lander

The list of values that you have pasted in your previous post are the IR code equivalent used by BrightAuthor. They're not the IR code themselves. According to the BA autorun the IR codes are values between 0 and 18 for each key...

You are correct!  By the way...as a side note...it would appear that the included (with commercial displays) LG remotes work with my XD1032/1132 along with the SoundBridge remote.  But the standard display remotes for Sony, Samsung, and NEC do not.  The capture Presentation doesn't register those.

We supply an IR receiver module, part number IRRX1, that has been tested with all models of BrightSign player that have a 3.5mm jack socket for IR input.  The IRRX1 works perfectly receiving IR codes from the Roku SoundBridge RC1001 IR remote controller and any other IR remote controller running at 38KHz.
