Synchronize with fade in causing stuttering on 4k1042

HI

Im nearly at my deadline but I cant get network sync stay working.

Im using H265 encoded on Adobe AME on a 4k1042.

Main 5.1 35mbit CBR, lower than recommended.

The straight video works fine. But everytime I include the introduction fade in from black it stutters badly for a few seconds and causes all the videos to go out of sync for the entire rest of the film.

Im posting this here as its probably not a 4k issue and it took a week to get a reply last time I posted on the 4k section.

Any ideas or tips greatly appreciated. Ive tried all the way down to 20 mbit and its better but still stutters enough to cause desyncing.

    Encoding can be frustrating sometimes...

    Have you tried encoding with HandBreak, or ffmpeg?

    Please send me in the right direction for the ffmpeg settings or help here, much appreciated.

    Im making files for Brightsign media players in x265 but I cannot find a clear list of the ffmpeg settings.

    I wantto create files with
    cbr: 35mbit or vbr 35min and max
    level 5.1
    tier : main
    fps 60

    ffmpeg -i T:/temp/frameserver.avs -i T:/temp/audio.mp4 -c:v libx265 -cbr 35 -c:a copy -fastest T:/temp/output.mp4

    I dont know how to set the main and level and all my tests so far are unplayable with VLC!

    Any help much appreciated

    That worked for me recently:

    -c:v libx265 -preset:v ultrafast -x265-params crf=20 -pix_fmt yuv420p -movflags +faststart -f mp4

    With that said, what works for one video, may not work for another. Rapid changes in video content, create data spikes, which may cause stuttering.

    BrightSign seems to like HandBreak, so you could give that a try too.
