HD222 - Both Ethernet port lights are on as soon as you plug in power

Hello-

I have a brand new HD222 player.  As soon as you power up the player, both ethernet port lights light up even when the port is empty (no patch cord).  

We've tried factory defaulting the device with no change.

Any ideas?
