Can't connect to XD2

I am having problems connecting to my XD2.
I configured it on my primary device so I could take it to a remote site.

After installing it at the new site, I able to see it via browser.
I could also ping it.

I installed the Brightauthor software on the remote machine and it can't find it.
On my primary machine I get the error: "Unable to connect to x.x.x.x"

Any suggestions?

    You could try and repeat the device setup while making sure it is set for Local File Networking.
    Is there a wireless router in the mix?
