Only the 4K model players can play video larger than 1920x1080 resolution. 1920x1200 video in particular can be either H.264 or H.265 on the 4K models. Anything larger needs to be H.265
Hi
Which are the 4K models players that you mention that are able to play native 1920 x 1200 videos ? : XD233 ? XT243 ?
Other question : how is it possible to play two films simultaneously with only one HDMI output ??
Last question : Would it be possible then to play two 1920x 1200 videos simultaneously ?
Forgive my broken english / Thanks for your answer
Dominik
The original 4K models (4K242, 4K1042, 4K1142) can play 1920x1200 in H.264 or H.265.
We'd have to verify for the XD3 (XD233, XD1033) and XT.
The 4K-capable players only have on H.265 decoder, so playing two 1920x1200 videos would require 1920x1200 support in H.264 for one of them.
Thank you.
So our question is now to find out if the XD233 and/or XT243 can play at least one native 1920x1200 video (encoded in H265 I guess).
It is possible for you to verify that and let us know ?
Thanks, Dominik
Hi there,
According http://docs.brightsign.biz/display/DOC/Supported+Video+Resolutions all the new 3-serie models play native 1920x1200@60P.
Also according to my BrightAuthor project presentation setup I can select this 1920x1200@60P.
So for example the LS423 en HD223 will do now do this resolution also.
Could Brightsign support please confirm this is the fact as prior only XD(2) or 4K could do this… Thanks!
When I try to drag a 1920x1200 H.264 to the XD233 playlist in BA, I get the message:
"The resolution of the video file is not supported"
I set up the project as 1920x1200x60p, so what's going on here?
Gscharoun - that model seems to support that resolution. Did you make more than one zone or alter the properties of the single zone? Or maybe the video is not really that resolution? Lastly make sure the video complies with the information here: https://brightsign.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/218065137-Supported-video-formats-and-codecs
