Watch Folders

I'd like to setup a watch folder as part of my playlist so that someone without access to BrightAuthor can add or remove content and the players would just play any content that is inside the watch folder.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!

Dynamic Playlist in BrightSign Network could be a good solution.

All they would need is access to the BrightSign cloud through a web browser.

Dynamic Playlist allows you to mix images and videos.

You could also look at creating dropbox.com rss feed, and consume the feed media through BrightAuthor.

Your user would then only manage media in a folder on dropbox.

    Here are a few options

    I hope that helped

is this just a simple playlist to play one video file after another (full screen)  or are there image mixed into ?

can the watch folder be on a card or does it have to be on the network?

if it can be on the card there is a simple script that can do this , it just loops through all videos in the root of the SD card.

it could easily be adapted to play videos in a folder and or images as well.

it works without bright author at all.

let me know answers to the above and i could possible source the script and make the required modifications to it.
