Ticker Animation and Safe Text Region not working

Hi there, I wonder if anyone can help?

I'm setting up an XD232 and having a few problems with tickers in a presentation.

When I choose "animated or scrolling" in the "edit zone" page the text does neither, but sits left/top aligned to the zone container. Is there any Javascript I need to activate or install?

Further to this, under "advanced" adjusting the "safe text region" has no impact on the text at all. I just wish to add some padding to the zone so the text doesn't sit against the edge of the box.

The "transparency" slider seems to not make any difference either.

Are there any controls for the font size apart from the number of lines?

Are you viewing the published output from a player or the software preview? The software preview is NOT an accurate representation of the actual player output.

Hi there, thanks for your prompt reply.

I'm looking at the software preview as the actual player is at a remote location.

I can understand the scrolling elements not working in the software, but the safe text region should surely be viewable in the software?

The font rendering is not exact either, so safe area measurements using the preview wouldn't be trustworthy.

A spare/development player would be ideal, but if that's not possible you could check the Remote Snapshots of a supported player.

can you send us a sample presentation showing us the problem? What unit and firmware is this happening on?
