Not loading all MRSS/RSS feeds.

Hi, in our presentation we have multiple RSS & MRSS feeds that are being generated by our server (express nodejs) using Windows 10. The unit is not loading all of the MRSS feeds (only 1 in 4) but is loading the rest of the RSS feeds. Here is the relevant log from the brightsign unit (Model XD1230).

Hi,

Please access via Firefox or Google chrome the URL for all your MRSS and RSS feeds then right click on the web page > View source, then copy and paste the URL and the source code (XML content) of all the feeds so I can check them.

So I'm expecting the below for all your feeds

The same is happening to me. I have 11 rss, 10 of them are used just as variables(1 item), and one for Live Text(28 items). Working with an XT1144

It´s for showing some excel values at Live Text zones via RSS and to get some variables from it to show or not some images.

When I publish or when I try updating the data feeds not always all the RSS files are downloaded and I need them for the "interactive" presentation I made based on the excel. I have it configured to update it once, as I don´t want it to do it during the presentation if I modify the values, just when it goes to one point when it updates the feeds, or going to another presentation, and when it comes back it will refresh again.

I also make the project to update the data feeds 4 seconds after the presentation starts, and adding 100 milliseconds pauses between each updating..

When all is downloaded all works really fine, but when not, it´s a caos.

My RSS are simple. The variable ones are like the one you posted (with just one item) and the other one, the same, but with more items.

I use HFS HTTP Server, and as I tell you it works, so it´s not an RSS formating issue or something similar as I can see how the .xml are downloaded, and how it fails at some points.

There´s any limitation in order to load data feeds at the same time? Something to achieve it?

I saw the "use HEAD calls" to optimize feed updates, and I don´t know if it could help me as when I check it, it doesn´t download anything.

What platform are you running your web server on?

If it's Windows and not a Server edition of Windows, then there is a limit of 10 simultaneous incoming connections, so you'll quickly run into the limit if the player is pulling multiple MRSS feeds because there's one connection for the MRSS feed itself, and at least one more connection for downloading the content in the feed.

I´m on a Windows10 Pc.

Based on what you told me I created a frst state where I update 5 feeds and 1 second later another state updating another 5, and now always get all the feeds!

Yes, Windows 10 is "workstation" class Windows in Microsoft terms and therefore subject to the 10 simultaneous incoming connection limit.

Spacing the requests out is a good way to avoid it for your case since you're manually triggering the feed updates.

Not loading all MRSS/RSS feeds.
