Changing Screen Colour

Have an XD1132 where the Idle colour has been preset to be violet but would want it to be black, to act as a stopgap while we figure out how to get commands to turn the screen off.

Reluctant to reconfigure the box, is it possible to amend this setting remotely?  I notice in the setup.xml file the colour hex codes for the Idle Screen are present but it seems impossible to change them or replace them with a new version of the file.

Thanks

Is this the same thing as "Background screen color"?  That is set as part of the Presentation and is done in BrightAuthor - File - Presentation Properties - Main tab.

    It's different.

The Background screen color is what shows behind a presentation's contents.  It's presentation-dependent and only active when the presentation is running.

The Idle screen color is what shows when there is no presentation scheduled at the time.

The Setup.xml file is only read upon applying the configuration - it's not re-read after that, so making changes to it will have no effect.

If you're publishing locally, you could set a solid-color presentation as All day Every day and set your "normal" presentations as interrupt presentations.

    Hi

Great, as long as I know what's possible I'll make do and just use a 'black-screen' image for the time being.

    Thanks
