If you're not using brightwall, but instead standard presentations to do the sync, then yes, you can use any interactive trigger we support to make them play. brightwall currently just does looping presentations.

Here are three videos I made in the past with different ba versions, all taking sync presentations, where there's a project for each player, and adding interactivity to the master unit, and showing changes to be made on the slaves to accomodate. I don't have an ir example, but it's the same process. Once you have ir working in a test project, you can easily add ir events to your sync project.  If you use the roku remote from our website with an iguana works receiver, you don't need a plugin to support ir.

    https://www.brightsignnetwork.com/download/Videos/Sync-nosync-1.mp4 'interactive gpio sync

One thing to add. The old videos refer to a synchronize command but in the newer brightauthor, synchronize is listed under a sub group "link". In the old vids, it was a flat command list. In the new ba, it's first listed under link, then you can choose synchronize.

Thanks Lyndon... just trying to get the IR trigger working now.. not sure which GPIO ports to connect up the IR Sensor..

I assume it would be one to Ground and the other to a Button?

GPIO is designed for input such as switches or relays.

Integrating IR with this model is as simple as described.

Can you share info about the IR device that you are using?

For IR, you may have to go with an HD1023, equipped with USB port, and get an Iguana IR Receiver
