Setup of XD233

Hi, I have subscribed to the Brightsign Network for 2 XD233 players.

What is necessary for the initial set-up of the players when used together with a subscription to the Brightsign Network?

 

Can we upgrade the firmware remotely once connected to the network?

 

The initial setup has a section which says create set-up files???

 

Do we need to set things up manually before we can connect to the network?

I like to give the installers all the info before we proceed with installation at the venue.

    Once on the BSN, a play's firmware can be updated.

     

    In a typical scenario, the installer would need to connect a newly deployed player to the network (with internet access), insert an SD card loaded with setup files, power up the player, and let it sit for a couple of minutes.

    The player would then connect to BSN, download published content, and present on the screen.

    From that point on, everything should be managed remotely, via BSN web UI, and BrightAuthor.

    Best if you could rehearse the process with a player at the office first. That way you get a better sense of the process, so you can support the installers at a remote site.
