Autowall

I'm playing around with the Autowall plugin. I've followed the instructions on the page http://docs.brightsign.biz/display/DOC/Autowall, and I have published my project to BSN.

I am testing with three horizontal screens, side by side. My player names are A-1, A-2 and A-3. They are all showing the exact same content. The HTML page (a simple image that is 5760x1080) is showing the A-1 content across all the screens.

Where am I going wrong?

If I'm not mistaken, the frame size cannot exceed the player's supported resolution.

Try with a 1920x1080 video, and see if the image is being distributed across all screens.

If all you are looking to present is a looping video, with a pixel-accurate image, you may find BrightWall a better fit.

I'm pretty well versed in BrightWalls. No, what I was looking for was a web based method. Right now, I'm the sole person to update hundreds of BrightWalls. I want to open that up (without opening it up) to my graphic designers. I have done that with single screens and PHP, so they can copy images to a network share and the PHP makes an MRSS feed that the BrightSigns then read. I wanted to do something similar with Autowall.

AutoWall could be a good solution for you, for its support for MRSS feeds.

It can download a single video file, and span it across multiple screens.

Image would be less detailed from what you can get with BrightWall.

We noticed that synchronization is not as tight, as what can be achieved with BrightWall, where each player plays it own 1920x1080 slice.

Facing similar challenge as you do, opening up content update to designers, we've created a solution made from:

MRSS feeds (one per video wall member screen)

    Master/Slave synchronization with Enhanced Synchronization

Designers would place a video wall slice in a designated folder, and players download via MRSS.

I suppose that with carefully naming media files, and a feed parser, you could compact it from 3 MRSS feeds, to a single feed.

    Hi,

I have 4 BS unit XT1144 and I'm using auto wall script, the video demo feed is working but the ticker not working properly. There is a moment that works and other than not. Is necessary to push the content in one specific order or I can select all BS unit and publish at the same time? I did this process in differents way in order from A-1 to A-4 and A4- to A-1 but doesn't work in the right way. There are a moment when the ticker cross the TV from A-4 to A-2 and skip the other TVs.

    what am I doing wrong?

    thanks
