Script to publish project to local network

Hello all,

Completely new to Brightsign but we have 6 Brightsign XT243 which we have as connected to local network on static IPs.

We use the Bright Author software to publish presentations (to one or two boxes) or Brightwall presentations (to all boxes to create a videowall).

The presentations are projects we have created which are connecting to a multicast video stream which runs all day, everyday.

The Brightwall presentation is video files which are looped endlessly and run all day, every day on the Brightwall.

Ideally what we would like is a couple of scripts which fully automate the changeover. Is it possible to script publishing a project to an IP?

Thank you!

Non BrightWall presentations can be published with a schedule.

Instead of using BrightWall, you could create your own Master/Slave set of presentations, and  simply schedule your presentations as needed.

Our problem is that we can't really create any kind of time based schedule. The changes in between presentations are very much on demand and can be at any time.

    Thanks!

There is a way to use a web browser, or the BrightSign mobile app, to control a player.

Imagine two buttons, one reads presentation 1, and the other presentation 2. Using the two buttons, you could twitch between the two presentations at a short notice.

Alternatively, two pushbuttons, wired to GPIO could also serve the same purpose.

Let us know if that type of solution works for you.

The first option sounds great! So could one button publish the presentation to every player?

The IOS app or the web browser, interacts with the master player.

When the master player detects an event, it sends a UDP message over the network to all slave players.
