Selecting the correct unit group to purchase

 Hello,

I plan to run three synchronized Brightsigns, 4k content, 1 master with 2 followers. The master will have a motion detector input.

I believe I need three XD234 units (or XD233), an ethernet switch, and to figure out which motion detector unit the Brightsigns work well with.

Before purchasing, I would like to confirm that I've identified the correct model for my planned use.

Thanks very much for any help.

Looks good, but I'd go with an XD1034 as master, because it has more IO options.

USB and serial, help during development and testing.

To confirm, one XD1034 + two XD233 units would work optimally together ?

Thanks very much for the help.

They should, but I would go with same generation players. All XD4, or all XD3.

The XD4 is new, so if you are not making use of the most recent features, then I'd go with all XD3.

    Small issue to please recheck.

Now I have two XD233 units, to which I'd intended to add an XD1033.

However, having one of the first machines able to run h.264 files may be useful for testing, since I can export h.264 in a few minutes, then convert the same file to h.265 in Handbrake in a few hours, and cannot check it on my computer (Sierra OS).

So I wanted to revisit the idea of running one HD1034 + two HD233s. I understand there is some concern about compatibility there, might you be able to elaborate on which functions could cause compatibility issues to arise? Or, would you simply advise that running the machines all in the same generation supersedes the ease of file testing?

I apologize for asking again, perhaps the issue of generational compatibility is more or less serious than I currently understand.

    Thank you again.

    HD1034 + two HD233 should work too.

Also, you can play h.265 on Mac with VLC or Switch from Telestream, but what matters is how it plays on the player.
