AutoWall html5 content on 4K1142

We have been trying to get Autowall to work correctly over 3 brightsign units (4k1142) but I am starting to wonder if the units can really display an html5 slideshow. Are the 4k1142 units a bit outdated or are they capable of displaying html5 content.

Thanks

Have you updated firmware and BrightAuthor to the latest versions?

How would you describe the behavior of the players?

Thanks. We updated Bright Author and the firmware of the units previous to using the autowall plugin. We put an html file into autowall and it did get spread out over our 3 screens but it did not expand to fill the screens and between the three screens the content was out of snyc. We created an auto play slideshow at a resolution of 1920x1080, added the folder of content and the index.html file.

A picture showing how the content is spread across would be helpful here.

Are those 4K or 1080 screens?

Sadly, we do not have a photo. We were spreading the html5 content over 3 screens that are 1920x1080 each, via an hdmi connection. The video did not fill the screen or pop up in equal thirds for each display. I think we will go back to the autowall plug in to make sure we did not miss anything. Video did play on each screen but it was not full screen and there was not sync between the three screens. Thanks.

    Players naming is key.

If your video wall is a single row, then players MUST be named: a-1, a-2, a-3.

Ok, here is an update to this ongoing project. We have worked through the guide provided with the autowall plugin. We have a lot of experience with Brightsign units but we still have questions. We are trying to spread one html 5 file over the three monitors. It is really just a glorified powerpoint animation but we want it to play spread out over the three monitors in equal sections, and play in sync. Here are our questions -

    1. Is it possible to present a file that is stored locally, on each unit, instead of having it hosted at a network address?

    2. Is it possible to get an example file that we can work with?

    Thank You.

I have not tired AutoWall yet, but in general I have found HTML5 on BrightSign's to be very finicky to say the least. Simple basic things work fine, but you start adding in animations and more complex things, they often misbehave.

I often just end up converting things to Video, and playing back using BrightWall to sync the multiple videos across multiple players.

Hey Doug, did you ever get to the bottom of this? We've been attempting to do something very similar with little success.

    Steven -

We never really ever got things to work correctly. The autowall plugin never functioned as described and we have never had good luck with html5 content so we actually shifted back to video files that play in sync on brightwall. We created content in aftereffects split it up into thirds and had three clips play in sync. The brightwall setup worked great with the three clips playing together and never drifted out of sync.

Has anyone had any luck with Autowall? I too have a lot of experience with developing in HTML, but I am banging my head against the wall with this. I can use the sample autowall-with-ticker with my own rss feed but the mrss feed will not work if I try to replace it. Also, does it have to be Video or Mrss? Really I would love to be able to display web content across multiple screens.
