I have some (50) players at an installation receiving streaming video signals.
Each one have a project where a streams matrix is configured. They also have an HTML to route each stream.
It works fine but sometimes, the screen goes black and I have to re-route the signal.
Sometimes players also reboot themselves, So i don´tknow if there´s any problem with the streaming signals (i.e it goes to black or reboot when the signal is lost..)

if the player reboots unexpected, you can check the brightsign-dumps folder on the sd card to see if there are files. these dump files will have clues to the failure. If you're doing html playback , it could be a reboot caused my memory leak in the javascript or too much memory using in html.
Nothing related to the Javascriptt or HTML. I had that problem in another project but is not the case.
It seems the player goes black when it´s too much time playing the same stream.
Finnally I solved it making the stream reloads every 10 minutes

Although it seems to be working now as they doesn´t go black anymore with the reload, some of the players are getting stuck.
They are showing the "No Signal" at the screen and if I ping them, they answer me one each 40 tries. It seems they are rebooting but no way to make them work.
Units are updating with the simple file networking each 30 seconds. I don´t know if so many connections can make the units unstable.
I downloaded the dump files but are not readable for me, so I can´t have any clue..
