Live text input alternatives

Hi all. I currently have a sign set up that has a couple of live text box zones that the user updates through user variables. The text boxes are updated by going to a browser and updating it through the Brightsign User Variables IP section.

Is there a more user-friendly alternative to this? The client we are building the sign for is not the most technical savvy person, so this layout may confuse them!

Also, is there a way to automatically scale text to fit in a zone? For instance, there is a zone for 'announcements' but the amount of text in here may vary, so it might go beyond the size of the actual zone. I don't want text disappearing or spilling out over other zones.

are you using brightsign network cloud? If you were you could use feeds to populate  your livetext. Someone could log into the account, edit a feed, and the players would be updated when they call in next.

If you're using the cloud, you could also use a brightplates template to playback your feed data. You could build a custom html template where you have more control over how text is displayed.

If you're just on a local network, and have some html expertise, you could use nodejs and show the customer an editable version of what's on the display, so the page they edit things on would look similar to what they're seeing on the display.

Thanks Lyndon, unfortunately I don't have brightplates or brightsign network cloud. I'll have to brush up on my HTML skills so!
