Edge Blending

Hi,

I have a 5280 x 1080 video that I have split into 3 x 16:9 (1920 x 1080) videos, which allows for a 120 pixel between each screen overlap. Three Panasonic projectors EZ590.

These are not edge blending projectors but I understand some models of Brightsign can do this. I have three HD223's. It's all running in sync no worries, but the 120 pixel overlap is brighter. Does anyone know how to edge blend using Brightauthor/Brightwall?

Opening my exhibition tomorrow (27 Sept) - any advice VERY WELCOME!

Thanks in advance!

Neither BrightAuthor/BrightAuthor:connected nor the BrightSign player edit/recompress video.
Each player can only handle video assets that it can individually decode.  So a HD-capable player can only use video to up to 1920x1080, etc.

The player can do rotation in 90-degree increments for HD and lower resolution.

Support for edge-blending is provided by the Genlock functionality of Enhanced Synchronization which attempts to synchronize the video output signals synchronized players.  This still does not guarantee the display or projector will display the image at the same time, but it reduces one area where things may not match.

Some edge-blending and warping can be achieved via MPCDI support (the information on that page is all the is available - we do not have other samples we can share), but overall, BA/BA:connected is not intended for video editing.

Above said, some third-party CMSes do handle large-size videos and will do the work of editing the videos at their end to deliver compatible slices to the players.
See the Integrated Solutions page on our website.
