I have a simple but challenging question.
I run an public outdoor art film cinema 365 days a year with a BrightSign player. Every day I play a different 45-60 min playlist (containing 10-15 short films) that loops for a few hours.
Starting the playlist automatically is no problem. I schedule it for 7 pm and it starts with the first movie in the loop.
But how can I end the playlist e.g. around 11 pm but I don’t want it to stop in the middle of the movie. I want the actual movie to play to it’s end and then it stops if it’s after 11 pm. Before 11 pm it could start with another movie.
I assume it’s only possible by either calculating the exact length of the playlist or by creating interactive playlists - which must be quite complicated.
I have to find a very easy solution. Otherwise it will be impossible to do it for 365 days a year.
