223, Bright Author cant see after reset

Hi all,

We have the 223 and after a factory reset and a cleanup of the SD card, I am kinda stuck.

I can log in and see it using a webbrowser, but when I try to connect to it via BrightAuthor, it says there is no brightsign at that location.

It is currently running the old project, but wanted to connect and put a new one on.

Any ideas what could be going on?

Assuming that you are trying to access the player on your local network; After the factory reset, you should set up the player for Local File Network.

Thought I would followup with this.

Thank you for your help, we did this but actually ended up with the same error message that started the whole mess.  The error message stated there wasnt enough room on the SD for the new project, though it was basically the same as the old project.

Long story short, when you add HTML pages to your project, and then realize you didnt do it right and add another HTML site, it still keeps the hold HTML site in some kind of library.

When you go to move the project, it takes ALL the HTML pages, even if they are not used.  The kicker here is it takes ALL FILES IN THE DIRECTORY, not just the HTML file.  In my instance it was my downloads folder, and the contents of that folder was obviously bigger than my SD card.  Nowhere did it say why it was out of space, perhaps a clearer message stating the to and from directory or list of files its trying to copy???

Once I figured this out, I moved my HTML file to its own directory, and its working now.  Didnt even have to format the SD...  Just posting in case someone else runs into it.

    Thanks again for the help.

Thanks for sharing your war story :)

There is a good reason for including all files in the directory, where your html file lives. Typically, images, css, etc, would reside there, which you would need for your page. You live and learn...
