XD233 only displaying 1/4 of the screen on Ultra stretch (3840 x 600) screen

I'm encountering the same issue that others have raised in other posts where a new presentation created in Bright Author at 3840 x 600 for an XD233 displaying on an LG 86BH5C will only show a quarter of the loaded image. It effectively displays the top left corner or 1920x300 of the zone.

I'm using the latest available software versions:

BrightAuthor 4.7.2.5

XD233 F/W - 8.0.33

I've found the work around to setup the presentation as an XT243 which sets the zone to 1920 x 300 (instead of the expected 3840 x 600) but aren't i then working with a much lower res display zone? I can load the content prepared for 3840x600 into the smaller zone but isn't everything then being scaled?

Can you please give me more detail on the impact of using the workaround and also if there is a proper fix due any time soon as the issue seems to have been open for several months now.

Thanks

I don't understand why BrightSign is being so difficult on this issue.

So many people love the LD Ultra Stretch displays and want to use them, yet it continues to be an issue with people not being able to use them at the full native resolution.

I have turned down some work, because I really only want to use BrightSign players for projects, but time and time again I see people posting that they can't get this to work correctly.

BrightSign has even said they have one of these that they can use to develop with, yet people still are having issues with this.

I don't understand why this is so difficult?

Why can't people just set the resolution to 3840x600, and display 3840x600 videos and images on it?

Agreed. Having to rely on a workaround is frustrating and appears we're not alone.
