LS 423 Simple File Networking Not playing Video

I have a LS423 That i had working and its a pretty simple setup.I was asked to update the video. So i got the newest version of Bright author and the newest firmware for the unit 8.0.33 and went to work.

I created my new presentation which is just a MP4 video on a loop. FTP (binary) to my website, They download to the player and now i have a blank screen. There are no errors in the download log.

If i set the player up as a standalone unit with the same presentation it plays fine. I am at a loss as to why the presentation is not playing when set up for simple file networking.

  Hi Chris,

  It sounds like it may still be downloading the presentation.  How large is the published folder?

  Also, check the video bitrate -- we aim for Constant Bit Rate (CBR) about 10-14mbps for the LS and HD series players.

  Lastly, make sure your video resolution matches the presentation resolution.

  Oh... and check the parameters on the Simple File Networking to make sure they are pointed at your correct http path for the relative links.

  The video is 1080p at 30fps. The Logs show that all the files have been downloaded. The display can display 1080P and the brightsign is set to auto choose the right resolution (Auto). My Presentations are the small side less then 200mb. Would some log files help?

  What is the Screen Resolution of the presentation?  In BrightAuthor there is no "auto" when setting up a new project.

  In the Publish tab for your SFN... if you click on the "Set Parameters" button, is your URL to web folder correct?  Be sure not to use a trailing slash.

  One last thing to check... is the clock on the LS423 correctly set?  If you have scheduled a presentation to only run in a certain block of time, the clock will need to be set correctly to your date/time and time zone.  It will display black if it's not "on schedule" correctly as well.

  I am not sure what i did but The Presentation is now working. I will have to pull the logs off the Flash card and check. Thanks for you help on this matter.
