Brightsign as a scoreboard?

Has anyone thought of a way to use a Brightsign as a scoreboard? It seems the biggest challenge would be implementing a countdown timer. The rest could be done with User variables. GPIO could be used for a buzzer, and you could even do goal songs etc with UDP commands. Its almost all there...

    So I'm working on this right now. Mine will be including a countdown timer as well. I think I've got it figured out. If you zone out the screen into 3 parts you can use 1 as the timer which can be triggered by GPIO input 0. Screen 2 and 3 can have individual JPEGs of numbers from1 thru 50 (or any numbers you'd like) that are triggered by GPIO 1 & 2 respectively.
