Changing the opacity of a video state

Hi

For our reception Signage I have a video, When important guests arrive we want their names to appear over the video ,  'Welcome to our company' personal touch.. The names work fine (Image zone with transparency set to 100%), I've got the text looking great, the issue is the video is a little to opaque in the background, is there a way to dial back the opacity of a video layer in BrightAuthor?

Also is there a slicker way to populate the name rather than using live text box, I'm looking for a feed type solution that looks at a file on our network, and uses that automatically.

I'm a newbie here so please, any advice is gratefully received...(I've read the BrightAuthor manual...but some of it it rather tricky to follow)

Thanks

Rich

Regards

Rich

To make the text look better over the video, you could turn on the Live Text background color, and change the opacity of the live text, so it blocks some of the video. Since the background color is per text box within the Live Text, you could create a large text box, with blank Fixed Text, so it is only used for its background color.
