We tested playing an MPEG DASH and HLS stream on a xd1033 and it worked perfectly right away. Our group proceded to purchase 50 hd224 players assuming if it worked on one it would work on the other. However, it does not appear to be the case. I cannot get either stream to work on the hd224. Does anyone know if its a hardware limitation of the hd224 player?

You are using the same firmware on the HD224 as you tested on the XD1033. The HD224 should support the same streams as the XD player. You should submit a rep ort to support including firmware info, a copy of the system log, and a network capture from the player as it tries to play the stream. You can log into the player's ip , and go to the diagonstics tab to start a network capture which will save a pcap to the sd card.
