Can i use BrightAuthor Pause/ Resume when player playing video?

I published the presentation to player,  at this status, can i use BrightAuthor Pause/ Resume when player playing video? Thank you.

    In some case, our LED Screen need to Pause, Resume,  or Black the Screen template.   Can i easy to do it?  i can not publish again.

    Sounds like you are not looking to Pause the video, but rather darken the screen.

    Is that accurate?

    Is the intention to conserve energy too, or mainly to avoid distraction by the screen?

    NO, it's really want to pause / resume the player,  some case need to black it. Mainly to avoid distraction by the screen.

    You have several options. The one to pick, would depend on the requirements.

    How do you plan to control the player?

    Put differently; What would make the player go into paused mode, and what would resume normal operation?

    Will you use GPIO, Keyboard, UDP, etc...?

    I use XD234, so haven't usb port to use keyboard.

    Our client want to use this function via BrightAuthor,  i am not sure have this function or not.   if no,  how to use GPIO or UDP to do it?

    GPIO would require physical wiring of a push button to the player.

    UDP would work over the network. The player would respond to a UDP message sent from an AV controller, PC, etc...

    BrightAuthor is the tool that would be used to program the player. It would not normally be the way for the end user to pause/resume the image on the screen.
