Automatically generate User Variables from Data Feed

I am struggling to understand how the "Automatically generate User Variables from Data Feed" option when configuring a data feed in BrightAuthor 4.7 works. I cannot find anything help in the forum or documentation. Any examples or detailed info on how to set this up?

    Given a  rss feed, if you have automatically generate user  variables  enabled, the ba project will create variable using the title of each element in the rss as the variable name, and the description as the variable value.  That should be all that's involved.

    But that is not how it works. If you click that box, it does nothing. There are no variables generated. The details and documentation are vague and difficult to follow.

    Yup Not working for me either. Maybe I am missing some detail.

    Feed is regular Brightsign data feed.

    Here is an example.

    <rss version="2.0">
    <channel>
    <title>TestFeed</title>
    <description>TestFeed</description>
    <item>
    <title>test</title>
    <description>test</description>
    </item>
    </channel>
    </rss>

    But where do you access the feed?

    I think so? Basically, I feel like I check that box and I have no idea what it does. :)
