In BA i can validate and update the data feed and it works just fine. However it won't work once published to the players themselves. I can log in to the players so I know the network isn't the issue and the xml file the feed is pointed to is on that very same network.
I've searched high and low for my mistake in tutorials and the community but never the answer I'm needing!
Use the IP address or FQDN for the machine in the link - the player doesn't know or add its domain suffix like a computer on the domain does.

I apologize for being obtuse Brandon, but I'm not sure what you mean. I am currently using an IP address of the microcomputer our tech guys built. It verifies and works just fine while in BA. The "Feed Specification" is http://(IP ADDRESS)/teams.xml. Now, it does not work in BA if I don't have the http:// prefix. Is that what you are talking about?
It feels like there is just another step I'm missing! I use udp communication and local network fle setup so I am positive it isn't the network itself.
Above is what I have and I cannot find an example anywhere that uses an IP address or anywhere that says that I can't use an IP address.
Examining the play's log, found in the diagnostic web page might help.
What am I looking for? I've read the log, tested the network, pinged the server via the diagnostic web UI, etc.
I'm assuming that my screen grab above is how it should look for a correctly setup data feed using an IP address...right?
IP address is good. IP address is absolute.
It'll depend on what's in the feed itself and how the elements are named/constructed. If it's not an RSS/MRSS feed structure, then it may require a parser.
