top part of the HTML site is being cut off when displayed on screen with my BrightSign player XD1033

Hi everyone,

URLs are being displayed fine on my screen but how do I adjust the display so that it doesn't cut off the top bit of the HTML page that I am trying to display on screen?

 

So here is an example below for this website https://library.cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au/Montage/Default.aspx

Our BrightSign player model number is XD1033. Do i need to update the firmware or can a setting be adjusted in BrightAuthor? There are some Jpeg image files in the BrightAuthor presentation too and they are being displayed perfectly on the screens.

  Hi Rubi,

  BrightSign HTML isn't like a PC.  You have to set some specific parameters on the website in order to work correctly with the device. HTML zones are not intended to be a web browser.

  The HTML site must be configured with CSS to match the screen resolution of your display.  This public site is more of a Portrait orientation vs the wide aspect of your 4X2 arrangement.

  BrightSign's HTML capabilities are strong, but in your implementation - you need to have more control over how the website is displayed on screen.  Did you build the website?  If so, you may want to create a site just for the BrightSign display that is correctly proportioned to the video array.

  Unfortunately, I don't believe this implementation will work as you expect without some back end coding on the website.

  Thank you, Monica. That is the confirmation I needed. I will get the web team to configure the seperate HTML site specifically for the BrightSign player. Really appreciate your feedback.

  Hi BrightSign hivemind,

  On one of our 4-panel screens the URL in our BrightAuthor presentation displays correctly but on another 4-panel screen, the same URL looks like it has been scrolled down therefore the title gets cut out. Is this a setting in BrightAuthor I could change? I've tried configuring the View Mode and Image Mode In Zone Properties but to no avail.
