Time zone change in offline mode and hide message

Hi everyone,

I wanted to setup a recurring event (video) on a LS425 which is not connected to the internet.

First of all, I did not understand how to change the time zone inside the player. Remember it is offline! A workaround by shifting the events for 13 hours did work, but is uncomfortable.

But the biggest problem is: When the player stops the video it shows a message "Congratulations, your BrightSign player is set up". OK, thanks for the information. But nobody wants to see this on the display. And the display will not turn off automatically.

Does everyone have a solution for my problems? Otherwise, I have to install a mechanical time switch!

Thx in advance.

    Hello,
You're right—offline LS425 setup can be tricky. To fix the time zone, manually configure it via BrightAuthor or BrightAuthor:connected using a setup file with the correct zone. For the unwanted message, create a default idle state (e.g. black screen or logo loop) after the video ends to avoid showing the setup screen. Also, use a Time/Clock event with a defined schedule to control playback and screen behavior. dogsounds app

    Hello Amy,

thx für your help. But the projector will not turn off by getting a black image. And since no one is on site to turn the projector off, it would run all night long. Unfortunately, that's not an option.

But no matter. An old school mechanical time switch for power outlets will do.
