BA:connected with RC-1002 IR remote

Has anyone had any luck getting a RC-1002 remote to work with BA:connected?

It looks liie its supported:

"Presentation settings > interactive > connectors > IR remote configuration"

Contains this remote type in the dropdown list as well as a selection for 3.5 mm IR In or Iguana.

Once this is set to the RC-1002 remote, remote Input events within the preentation contain a remote input dropdown list that corresponds with the buttons on this remote.

However, whatever I try, the presentation does not respond any input events. I can see the LED in the IR reciever flickering in time with th recieved commands, bt the brightsign is not responding to them.

    Hi Elena,

Yes, my problem was the IR sensor cable that I recieved with the remote control as a kit. I had a spare IR cable laying around that came with a monitor and this one worked.

Looking at the IR receiver cable, the cable from the kit has a TRRS jack with four segments. The cable that worked for me was a TRS with three segments.

In case you are not aware. Make sure the IR sensor is plugged in before you power the unit. they are not plug and play devices.

I also recieved this script from brightisgn support. Usedful to eliminate presentation issue and prove your hardware works:

It doesn't work with the IR that comes with the kit? It should work! Does it illuminate with a red light?

    thanks!

Mark - I followed your notes and I was able to get my rc-1002IR remote to work with my HD1024 using BA connected and an IR sensor that plugs into the 3.5mm connection. Did you ever get it to work?

Doug - Yes I did. I  my case it turned out to be the IR sensor. When I changed this everything started working perfectly.
