Still no luck making surround presentation work

This post is an evolution of this thread:

https://support.brightsign.biz/hc/en-us/community/posts/44177103756443-Surround-sound-file-not-playing-properly

I got the files linked by Brandon in the above thread and tried to make use of them, without success.

First, I studied the BA:Connected presentation from Brandon's link and found it to be pretty similar to my own presentation. That being the case, I started by simply calling the multichannel plugin in my presentation. No luck. Same behavior as always. No surround. Tried a few variations, always with the same result: no surround.

Second, I duplicated the BA:Connected presentation from Brandon's link, thinking I'd just replace the media in that presentation with my own via "choose a new file." When I tried to do so, however, I didn't see an option to "choose a new file." For that reason I moved on to plan B, remove the media and import my own media file. Did that. No luck. No surround. Tried a few variations, always with the same result: no surround.

A month into this and I'm no closer to having a working presentation than I was on day one.

Thanks for any help in solving this,

babag

    I've seen the thread:

    https://support.brightsign.biz/hc/en-us/community/posts/44177103756443-Surround-sound-file-not-geometry dash lite

then, I have a question: Have you tried completely recreating the presentation from scratch and importing the plugin fresh, rather than modifying the BA:Connected template?

thanks for the response on this.

i'm pretty sure i have tried a from-scratch presentation but, to be honest, after more than a month of this, i don't remember that specifically. i can't imaging i wouldn't have tried that, though. once the holidays are over i'll drive back over to the studio and try that when i dive into trying the other simple stereo workarounds i have.

one question, you seem to separate the process of recreating the presentation and the importing of the plugin. i've not seen anything, as far as i recall, about importing a plugin. would you mind articulating that process, the plugin import? i think i get it but, without ever having done it or seen anyone else do it, i may have it wrong.

    thanks again,

BabaG ... I can help you with this.  I've set these LPCM surround projects up many times, and your player should be compatible (unlike series 5).  Hit me on the email and we'll do a video call / screen share.
