We have 5 physical cabinet doors at our museum that play mp3 files from their own BrightSign when opened, triggered to do so by reed switches that detect the magnet embedded in each door. When closed, they're silent. The company that programmed these presentations for us didn't give us a copy, sadly, and I don't know how to reverse engineer one from the HDSC cards that work properly now.
Screenshot below of my work thus far. Home state is a 15 sec mp3 of just silence, then depending which GPIO gets triggered, it'll play one of 5 files. Each player only has one GPIO, meaning this presentation is just one I can save to each HDSC card so I don't have to worry which is which. I've tried configuring the GPIOs from home as first press both up and down, and as consistently pressed down, but they don't seem to activate. The GPIO from the mp3 files I've made opposite of the home state one (eg if the GPIO input to home was first press up, I made the GPIO from the mp3 files down).
Any thoughts? I don't know what else to try to get these to play.Is there a better way to configure the silent parts other than looping the 15 second clip?
