I am looking to upgrade from very old ADTEC media players to BrightSign LS425s for a display that is 30 channels of video with audio. It needs to be frame synced. In the current set up, if one of the ADTEC players loses power, when it comes back on, it will scrub through the video until it finds sync with the other players. The video is 90mins long, so this is useful. I would like to have a similar function in the new set up with the LS425s.
So far, I have been able to use BrightAuthor 5.0 to author a synced multi-screen presentation that re-syncs on each loop point. It plays reliably. The players don't drift or lose sync. But, if one player loses power it simply stays black until it receives the sync command on the loop point. It doesn't jump back in to match with the other players.
I began creating a BrightWall presentation to get frame sync, hoping that would result in a player being able to jump back in at any point in the video if it loses power. Then I found out that in BrightWalls, only the Leader player will output audio, so this isn't an option for me.
Does anyone know of a way I could author media to be able to output audio on all channels AND jump back in & find sync with the other players at any point in the video if a player is powered off?
