Can't sync to NTP server

Hello,

I have set a micro PC under Linux to act as a NTP server using Chrony.

Seems to work well (my PC and Mac can sync with it)

I have set the Brightsign (HD1024) localisation and to use NTP time server on the local network by filling the dedicated field in BrightAuthor when setting the unit. I specified it as "ntp://192.168.5.13". The Brightsign device is 192.168.5.12.

Brightsign unit doesn't seem to sync with the NTP server.

Using DWS i read the unit time and it always shows an unsynced time (3 min offset)

I can't find much information about NTP configuration on the site but i seem to have set it as recommended.

Note : firewall is disabled in my NTP box, port 123 open, and both devices are simply connected via an unmanaged switch.

Any insight ?

Thanks

The log tab in the Diagnostic Web Server page might reveal helpful details.

I know the Brightsign unit it syncing time with an NTP server call at boot time.

Is it regularly polling NTP server once powerd up ? if yes, at what rate ?

    thanks

It has been some time since I looked at this but I believe the NTP polls every 12 hours.
