Ugh, this is annoying. I was all set to dig into the BSN.com documentation and build this web app using BrightSign Network... but then I see it's a legacy platform. Guess that makes sense, technology moves fast.

I am wondering why BSN.com is considered a legacy platform and BSN.cloud REST API is recommended as a replacement.

Are there any new capabilities in BSN.cloud that were not available in BSN.com, which could open up new development opportunities?

For developers looking to leverage BrightSign Network capabilities, it is essential to shift focus from the legacy BSN.com documentation to the updated BSN.cloud REST API documentation. This transition will ensure access to the latest tools and enhancements for web application development.

It’s helpful that the old BSN.com documentation is still available, but pointing developers to the updated BSN.cloud REST API definitely makes things clearer. Having the newer platform supported means fewer headaches and better long-term compatibility for anyone building integrations.

It's great to see BrightSign providing updated documentation for developers! As a chess enthusiast, I often seek tools that offer in-depth analysis and insights into my games. I wonder if the BSN.cloud API could similarly enhance application development for creative Chess Analysis projects!

It’s great that the legacy BSN.com documentation is still accessible, but directing developers to the updated BSN.cloud REST API really helps clarify the path forward. Support for the newer platform reduces friction and ensures better long-term compatibility for anyone developing integrations.

I'm not sure I follow the logic in the section about Basic Authentication being sufficient for all use cases. Actually, relying solely on basic auth for fleet management feels outdated. In my deployments, OAuth2 has proven necessary for better security granularity. Basic auth exposes credentials too easily in logs. Simply put, modern integrations require token-based workflows, not static username/password pairs.

The BSN.com documentation allows developers to create web applications leveraging BrightSign Network functionality, but it's important to note that this is a legacy platform. For the latest features and capabilities, developers should refer to the BSN.cloud REST API documentation, which serves as the updated resource for integrating with BrightSign services.
